Dubsado Projects and Leads and Jobs, Oh My!

If you’re just getting started with Dubsado, you might feel a little overwhelmed trying to understand the difference between Projects, Leads, and Jobs. But each of these simply represents some of the built-in organization included in Dubsado.

Projects is the main hub for all of your existing and potential clients. The Projects area can be accessed by clicking “Projects” in the left-hand menu. This title cannot be edited or changed in any way. Once you open the Projects section, you will be able to see all of your Leads and Jobs (which also cannot be customized).

Leads is the place where all of your prospective clients will be listed. The Leads area can be further segmented into “funnels,” represented by boxes at the top of the screen. Depending on your business needs, you can set your funnels as steps in a chronological sales pipeline (example: Contacted, Call Scheduled, Proposal Sent, etc.) or as lead types (example: Web Design, Graphic Design, Email Marketing, etc.) or even as lead sources (example: Facebook Leads, Website Leads, Networking, etc.). The type of organization you choose is totally up to you and what makes sense for how you need to view your leads.

Jobs is exactly the same as Leads – the only difference is that these are your actual clients, not just prospects. Again, the Jobs area can also be segmented into “funnels,” represented by boxes at the top of the screen. Depending on your business needs, you can set your funnels as steps in a chronological process (example: Planning, Implementation, Testing, etc.), project or product types (example: Facebook Ads, Email Marketing, Pay-Per-Click, etc.), or any other type of organization that makes sense for how you need to visualize your clients.
