One of the first Dubsado setups I ever did was for a good friend and former colleague of mine. At the time, she was empowering women in their careers and helping them write incredible resumes.
As part of her onboarding, she has a file uploader in one of her Dubsado forms for her clients to submit their current resumes. However, since some of her clients ended up emailing their documents directly to her, she needed to know if there was a way that she could just add the documents to the file uploader for them.
The answer was—yes!
All you have to do is open the project for the client in Dubsado and then go to the Forms tab. Find the form that has your file uploader in it (wherever you want to add the additional files) and click “View.” This will open up a preview of the form. At the top, click “Copy Link” and then open a different browser or open an Incognito window (you could also log out of your Dubsado and use the same browser…the goal is to open a browser that won’t recognize that you’re logged in as the business owner).
With your new browser open, paste the copied link. This will open up the form as though you were your client. From there you can simple add files as needed and click either the “Safe Draft” or the “Submit” button (they will both do the same thing). Log back into your Dubsado and go back to the project to view the uploaded document (if the form is still open, you may need to close and reopen it first).
I'm a perfectionist and I strive for excellence...if there's a better, faster, more efficient way to do something, I wanna know how and I love sharing that kind of knowledge and empowerment with my clients, too!
So if you’re an Online Service Provider who longs to spend more time elevating your client experience than trying to remember what steps you missed, I’d love to work with you.
