Public Proposals in Dubsado

Earlier this week, Dubsado launched a game-changing new feature: Public Proposals! In the past, proposals were unique to each client and there was no way to share the same proposal with multiple people. There also wasn’t any kind of “Buy Now” option for businesses who offer that kind of product or service.

But now with Public Proposals, both of these options are possible!

In order to make your proposal public, go to the Settings tab in the proposal setup and scroll all the way down to the bottom. Click “Public” under the Privacy Settings and then choose “Yes” to create a new project when the proposal is completed. From there you can decide if you want to trigger any workflows, what status you want the project to be created under, and what you want the Project Title to be when it’s created.

There are a couple other important things to note as well in order to make your proposal shareable:

  • Your proposal MUST include the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address fields and they must all be required and mapped to the corresponding fields in Dubsado.
  • The First Name, Last Name, and Email Address fields CANNOT be contained within columns (they have to be standalone, full-width fields in the proposal).

Once you’ve adjusted the proposal settings and added the required fields, save the proposal and then the “Share” button should become available for you to grab a direct link or an embedded iframe code!
