How Are Questionnaires Used in Dubsado?

In my last post, I mentioned that there are several different types of “Forms” you can create and each one does different things:

  • Contracts
  • Sub-Agreements
  • Questionnaires
  • Proposals
  • Lead Captures

Since each of these items are important to your workflows, I’m addressing them individually in separate posts. We’ve already covered Lead Capture forms, so let’s move on to Questionnaires.

Questionnaires are a unique type of “form” because they can be utilized in very diverse ways. The most obvious usage is to send a list of questions to your leads or clients in order to gather information you might need to deliver your product or service to them.

However, another potential usage is to deliver information TO your leads or clients. This could be in the form of a Dubsado form that has been formatted to showcase information, or it could even be an uploaded PDF document.

My favorite way to use Questionnaires though is a mixture of the two. I like to use Questionnaires in my client onboarding process where part of the Questionnaire is delivering information about how I work and what my clients can expect from our relationship, and another part of the Questionnaire is asking for them to provide additional information to me (like a list of software programs or tools I will need access to, uploaded graphics or logos I might need, etc.).

In addition, Questionnaires can be sent at any stage of your workflows—beginning, middle, end—or they can be sent during all stages! My onboarding Questionnaire goes out in the middle of the workflow (after the lead has become a client, but before I’ve done any work for them). I also have a Questionnaire that goes out at the beginning of the workflow to gather additional information that was not in the Lead Capture form. Then after my services have been delivered, I send a third Questionnaire to collect feedback from clients on their experience.

So as you can see, Questionnaires can be a very powerful feature!
