What are Proposals in Dubsado?

The last couple of posts I’ve published have been about different types of “Forms” within Dubsado:

  • Contracts
  • Sub-Agreements
  • Questionnaires
  • Proposals
  • Lead Captures

After a new lead comes through your Lead Capture form and maybe fills out a Questionnaire, the next step in most workflows is a Proposal of your products or services.

Proposals can be set up in two ways:

  1. As a “menu” of pre-set packages that your potential clients or customers can simply pick and choose from and the total is calculated at the bottom
  2. As a “quote” based on a pre-determined offer that your potential clients or customers are simply presented with and they then choose to either “accept” or “decline” the offer instead of choosing what they want

Obviously, there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to do your proposals and your proposal setup will depend on what you’re offering and how you want to send that information to your clients or customers. You may even have multiple proposals set up in both variations depending on what you have to offer. The main purpose of a proposal is for you to “propose” an offer that your client will either accept or decline.
